A Gaming Laptop Without Flashy Styling Introduced By MSI

style="text-align: left;"> href="http://laptop-computer-planet.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/MSI-GE620DX.jpg"> class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-7923" title="MSI GE620DX" src="http://laptop-computer-planet.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/MSI-GE620DX.jpg" alt="MSI GE620DX" width="552" height="457" />The laptop pictured above is indeed a gaming laptop, I know the looks don’t back-up that claim. You and I are both used to seeing gaming laptops with lots of LED lights and out of this world styling but that’s not the MSI GE620DX‘s at all. MSI recently href="http://www.msi.com/news-media/news/1290.html" target="_blank">introduced the MSI GE620DX to the world and in their own worlds the GE620DX is a ‘gaming notebook computer’ and with its specs. I believe them.

This new MSI notebook boasts a 2.0 GHz Intel Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor (one of the fastest around for laptops), a href="http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-geforce-gt-555m-us.html" target="_blank">NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M 2GB discrete graphics card with NVIDIA PhysX and DirectX 11 to name a few graphics technologies included with the GPU, and the laptop has a 15.6-inch HD (1366-by-768) LED backlit display.

The GT 555M won’t be able to play Metro 2033 at ultra settings but the discrete GPU will be enough to handle playing most of the modern games playable frame rates with details on high. To give yourself a good idea of just how well the GT 555M can perform check out the game benchmark results for the GPU href="http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-555M.41933.0.html" target="_blank">here on Notebookcheck.

MSI hasn’t officially launched the GE620DX yet and they don’t have a target price available for us to report to you either. However given the specifications I can see the GE620DX being a 00 laptop, and it would be a solid value as well.

The full specifications for the MSI GE620DX are available below.
