According to leaked specifications battery life from the laptops included 8-cell Li-Ion battery is up to 12 hours, a feat that’s made possible in part by the low-power AMD E-450 APU.

The display specifications only state the 13.3-inch panel available on the Asus U32U has a native resolution of 1366×768, and the display has an LED backlight support.

The pricing is where Asus loses me. The AMD E-450 APU is a decent chip and the potential for 12 hours of battery life are all nice things, but the E-450 isn’t a very powerful chip. The E-450 is a chip designed for low-cost ultra-portables or high-spec. netbooks. The 9 price for the Windows 7 Home Basic equipped Asus U32U (the people are most likely to buy) is a bit too much in my opinion.
